After a road with many sharp bends and increasingly spectacular panoramas, wild and bristling with towers, we discover Gerolimenas with wonder. This small port in the extreme south, flanked by the Cavo Grosso rock, is superb. Here, the key word is serenity. The people are very welcoming and there are few tourists. An ideal place to stop and possibly bathe. To get to this strange village, we had to cross a rather austere region that looks like a closed country, at the crossroads of Corsica and Scotland. Old and new fortresses testify of a heavy warlike past.
