About 25 km away, 40 km south of Ürgüp. The valley of Soğanlı is full of dwellings, remarkable ancient dovecotes, monasteries, churches carved into the rock. This place was a center of Christianity in Cappadocia in the 4th century. Following landslides, the troglodyte houses were evacuated in 1998. To relocate the inhabitants, the government created a village in a hurry, which in reality is a ghost village, because not inhabited. The environment, sometimes arid, sometimes green, is wild and exceptional. Less popular than the other sites of the region, almost deserted by its inhabitants, the visit is more quiet
