About 25 km away, 40 km south of Ürgüp. The valley of Soğanlı is full of dwellings, remarkable ancient dovecotes, monasteries, churches carved into the rock. This place was a center of Christianity in Cappadocia in the 4th century. Following landslides, the troglodyte houses were evacuated in 1998. To relocate the inhabitants, the government created a village in a hurry, which in reality is a ghost village, because not inhabited.
