Located 26 km from Kayseri, to access Erciyes Mountain, take the dolmuş towards Develi. If you are by car, take the direction of Hisarcık and continue to Tekir Yaylası. From 1,500 m, you need to be equipped with chains. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. The ascent of the mountain can be done in 2 days with an overnight camp. Depending on the season, crampons and pickaxes may be necessary. Guides are on site. The view is unbelievable. One of the two "founding" volcanoes of Cappadocia, now extinct, is home to a ski resort (between 1,800 and 3,000 m) with 1 chairlift and 2 ski lifts open in winter and a dozen trails.
