Located 15 km southwest of Wadi Sir, this ancient village has been occupied since the 10th century BC and is situated in the Jordan Valley. It is a haven of greenery and freshness, with olive groves, pine forests and natural springs. It is home to a remarkable castle from the time of Alexander the Great and is close to caves inhabited from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. The name of the village means "the cave of the prince". The village is also part of a vast rehabilitation program instigated by the Queen Nour Foundation. A women's cooperative has a workshop at the exit of the village on the heights.
