No air conditioning but big windows and fans. If you've walked up the hill in the heat don't expect to cool off! As a colonial design this is expected somewhat.
Only french people in attendance when we visited but the staff were friendly enough towards us too, all spoke English perfectly as most places do on the island!
Don't forget the tortoise enclosure at the rear, you can even feed them yourself!

Plus de goûts, ni d ambiance,.....surtout après avoir pu faire la différence après avoir dégusté un véritable carrie chez un privé.
Les menus proposés sont vraiment banals....oui...Dommage....on était tellement heureux d y retourner....pour y fêter notre anniversaire ...
Quand on voit la réputation de l endroit...franchement c est surfait et surcoté.
Det var også en virkelig fin pris. Desuden var det hyggeligt at fodre skildpadderne i baghaven

Wir wurden von der Bedienung gebeten den Tisch zu wechseln, da eine größere Gruppe kam und wir nur zu zweit am großen Tisch saßen.
Das war für uns kein Problem.
Leider war unser neuer Tisch nicht abgeräumt von den Gästen davor und so saßen wir eine halbe Stunde an einem schmutzigen Tisch und wir wurden vergessen, während die andere Gruppe bereits ihre Bestellung aufgeben durfte. Sehr schade.

the price was fair (~50 EUR for this plate)
the restaurant has 2 cats, who are very sweet, but it won’t be that sweet if a person allergic to cats comes in. fyi
they do have in the backyard some turtles, I hope they enjoy those conditions, I am not a fan of seeing animals in “cages”, putted there just for entertainment.
this is the only reason I gave the restaurant an overall 4 stars.
the service, ambient, staff and food was very good.
