In the very north of the island, Chaloklum is a peaceful fishing village with a large, beautiful beach surrounded by rocky promontories. The simple, relaxed atmosphere attracts those seeking rest and seclusion. It is home to a number of local fish and seafood restaurants, as well as diving schools. From here, dive boats depart for the island of Sail Rock. Daily cab service to Thong Sala. Boats take you to Bottle Beach (150 B per person), Thong Nai Pan (300 B) and Than Sadet (400 B), one hour of sea fishing (1,000 B). One-way fares for groups of 5 or more.
