Just north of Koh Tao lies Aow Muang, better known as Mango Bay thanks to the many mango trees that once graced the bay. Its clear waters and coral reefs make it a popular diving spot. Access to this large bay is possible via a relatively good but dangerous road. It's easier to get there by boat. On the road, turn left after Jim's Bar to reach the Mango Viewpoint, which offers superb views of Sairee and Mae Haad beaches (entrance fee: B100). To reach the small beach in the middle of the bay, you'll either have to swim or take a boat.
