Located at the island's southernmost point, a 15-minute walk from Mae Haad, Chalok Baan Kao Bay is home to one of Koh Tao's largest beaches. It has a village feel, with small shops and a calm, family atmosphere. Access to the sea is via the various establishments that occupy the entire length of the beach. Some even charge a right of passage... The bay is pleasant, the beach long but narrow, and the water shallow at low tide. The Chalok Viewpoint offers a magnificent panorama of Chalok Bay and Freedom Beach. On a clear day, you can even see Koh Phangan and Koh Samui in the distance.
