This concave bay in the southeast of the island is a small paradise of tranquility. The beach is one of the most beautiful on Koh Tao. Access is via private property, only between 8am and 5pm, and the entrance fee is B100. No outside food or drink is allowed. Despite these restrictions, Aow Leuk is well worth a visit. The cove is lined with coral on both sides, the seabed is home to an abundance of marine life, and the depth of the water makes it an excellent site for snorkeling, even at low tide. The sandy beach is ideal for swimming.
