This island, also known as Koh Taen, lies 5 kilometers southwest of Koh Samui, a 20-minute boat ride from the Thong Krut Pier, and some 15 kilometers from the coast. The population is reduced to around 100. Once ashore, only a small cement road allows you to cycle or scooter around the island... but you're still dependent on a boat to return to "civilization".
