Perched at an altitude of 1,600 meters, this small village, set in a mountainous landscape and with Spanish-style architecture, is surrounded by vineyards. A stop in this charming oasis is therefore essential, especially since Cafayate is at the point of the two magnificent roads that leave from Salta. The only drawback to this sweetness of life, magnified by the surrounding Andes... the invasion of tourists in July, mostly Argentines.
