Caleta Valdés is superb: the site is landscaped and has a path going down to the beach which is home to a colony of elephant seals. When they stay ashore, they do not feed during this period. A colony of Magellanic penguins can also be seen up close. In the open sea, killer whales frolic and feed: a prodigious spectacle. You'll be more likely to see them from September to April a few hours before high tide. You will finally be able to linger on the pebble beaches at sunset, before the last colours of the sky fade away.
