It is a splendid semi-natural rock formation. Located on the road that connected Chile and Peru, it was used, in the pre-Columbian time, as a bridge to cross the Mendoza River. Splendid by the colors that the water loaded with salt and sulfur gave him, it is semi-natural because the Incas, having understood the sedimentary effect of the river, diverted it to consolidate this arch and to transform it into a practicable bridge. One can still bathe in the hot springs or rather soak in the natural basins, above the bridge. The ruins next to the bridge are those of a thermal establishment, which was swept away by an avalanche.
