Not far from the town of Arenal, an itinerary invites you to leave Cala Blava and head for Bahía Grande and Cap Blanc, which offers a magnificent wide-open view of the sea. The emblem of this cape is its lighthouse: 12 metres high, it was built in 1862 and inaugurated the following year. It was designed by the architect Emilio Pou, who was responsible for some twenty lighthouses throughout the Balearic Islands. Although small in size, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of the fourteen lighthouses on Majorca. From here, you can head inland to visit the Talayotic village of Capocorp Vell.
