To the east of Alcoy, this village of about 250 inhabitants is accessed through an archway cut into the stone. In the background is the 14th century Arab castle with a view of the valley and the sea. The site is exceptional, which has earned it a place in the group of the most beautiful villages in Spain - but its proximity to the coast makes it a very popular excursion. To avoid the crowds, arrive early in the morning. You can visit its museum of miniatures, see the maja desnuda painted on a fly's wing. Information Tourist Office: Avde Alicante, s/n, at the castle (https://guadalest.es).
