With its feet in the water and backing onto the Troodos, Agia Marina is quite charming, with its banana and orange groves. It's a shame, though, that the beach here is still quite rocky. Up in the hills, the village of Gialia/Yayla is almost empty: its 800 Turkish Cypriot inhabitants were expelled in 1975. But the Mylos restaurant is good and bucolic.
