Here begins a straight 8 km beach that stretches all the way to Agia Marina. However, it's not crowded. For on many stretches, the sand mixes with unpleasant volcanic pebbles. You also need to be careful not to disturb the sea turtles that come to lay their eggs. The village center, slightly higher up, is surrounded by British villas.
