Near Lefkara, between Vavla and Kato Drys. To visit, men should not be in shorts or women in trousers. Please do not smoke. The convent is open for groups from Monday to Friday, except between 12 a. m. and 14 p. m. in winter and from 12 p. m. to 15 p. m. in summer. Ayios Minas is a 1754 th century convent reconstructed in. A curiosity to see, with its cloister and church, especially as the site and viewpoint, in the mountains, are appreciable. The walls are white or stone. The inner courtyard is flowery and pleasant. It is almost fresh in summer. The cats walk there quietly. Nuns who reside there arrived in 1965, from the monastery of Agios Georgios Alamanos. They have thus restored life to what was formerly a monastery of men whose activity stopped a long time ago. The nuns - a strict dress, veiled from a black head from head to foot - are dedicated to beekeeping and painting the icons. If you go here in winter, you may see the cherry and almond trees that grow around the monastery.
