About thirty kilometres from Syracuse on the road to Castello Euralio, the village of Sortino is strongly marked by the Baroque imprint of the eighteenth century, with beautiful palaces and magnificent churches, witness to its prosperity at the time. The Church of the Annunziata is particularly worth a visit for its frescoes (18th century) painted by Cristadoro. You can also stop in the south of the town to admire the façade of the Monastery of Montevergine, dating back to the late eighteenth century. You can also admire the facades of the numerous palaces. The most spectacular are Rigazzi Leopoldo, Musco, Valguarnera and Sortino Serges.
