San Diego de los Baños is located 120 km southwest of the capital and 60 km northeast of Pinar del Río. The curative virtues of the mineral and sulfurous waters of San Diego, known since the beginning of the 19th century and effective against articular and dermatological affections, attract many Cuban curists. In 1891, the town also opened a thermal center for foreigners (open from 8 am to 5 pm - treatments 20/25 € - +53 82 737 880). You can also go northwest to the Cueva de los Portales, occupied by Che during the 1962 missile crisis
