This village has little interest in itself except to be in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo, a region where the best cigars of Cuba are produced. The main reason for coming to San Juan y Martinez is to visit Hector Luis' tobacco plantation - Finca Quemado de Rubi (+53 58 203 839) - where excellent quality cigars are produced that can be purchased much cheaper than in Europe. And of course you can visit the plantation with real pros! If you want to visit the finca, remember to make a reservation by calling at least two days in advance! A visit that is really worth it!
