Further south, this small village of over 1,000 inhabitants is one of the most picturesque on the beautiful Costa de la Luz. It's best known for itsalmadraba, an ancestral tuna fishery that benefits from its strategic position on the passage of bluefin tuna migrations from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. But also for its beautiful beaches, including the 8-kilometre stretch from the village to Cabo de Plata, an excellent spot for water sports. Its many bars, chiringuitos, restaurants, mercadillos and lively atmosphere have made it a popular spot with tourists and Andalusians alike.
