Even if the coastline is less scenic than in the East or South-East and does not have any long and beautiful beaches, Anse aux Anglais is still considered as THE seaside resort of the island, where the village and its surrounding areas concentrate the largest number of guesthouses and lodgings for rent. The immediate proximity of the capital and its infrastructures is one of the reasons for this: bus station, banks, shops, restaurants, etc., are within a 15 minute walk. Like the whole of Rodrigues, the place remains nevertheless quiet and is above all a functional port of call from which to easily travel around the whole island.
