3 824 m of altitude. Huatajata is a small village on the edge of the lake, 90 km from La Paz. You will find there the only yacht-club of Bolivia! In the village of Huatajata, there are many small restaurants that offer trout with garlic, tomato or simply with lemon. The dishes are copious and tasty. Prefer those which have a garden at the edge of water. The most pleasant is certainly Sol y Andes, next to the big hotel Inca Utama, run by Doña Virginia and her husband. They offer a boat service to Isla Suriki. You can also rent boats from the villagers to visit the Pariti, Taqueriri and Kalahuta islands.
