This tiny island is famous for the numerous Inca potteries discovered in 2004 by a team of archaeologists. A small and very interesting museum allows to discover amazing potteries and vases from the Inca period, but also from the Tiwanaku period, often intact, revealing the artistic prowess of this mysterious civilization. The Tiwanakotas came to the island to perform ritual offerings, long before the Incas. You can camp there. You will have the opportunity to observe the life of the inhabitants of the lake, and even to share a little of their daily life if you decide to camp on the island. For those who want to avoid mass tourism.
