Archaeological excavations have brought to light the pre-Columbian past of this area. This testimony is preserved in the Edgard-Clerc museum (admission is free). Le Moule is a favorite spot for surfers because the sea is often rough. Its white sandy shores, its steep cliffs swept by roaring waves and sculpted limestone points give it a wild air. The commune is home to the Gardel sugar factory, the Damoiseau distillery which can be visited free of charge and which has a restored mill and the Zévallos house whose architecture is worth a visit because its metal structure (identical to that of the Schoelcher Museum in Pointe-à-Pitre) was built by the Eiffel workshops. The quality of the seabed and the experience of the fishermen of Mouli allow to have fresh fish of all species all year long. The Fishermen's Day, in August, is dedicated to them
