Located on the Fourvière hill, Villa Maïa welcomes us in a cocoon open to the city, between the Roman-style thermal baths that house a magnificent spa, the contemporary architecture that respects the history of the site and the rooms decorated by the excellent Jacques Grange who took care of the smallest detail: silk fiber comforters, Carrara marble from Italy in the majestic bathrooms... The suites, spacious and comfortable, offer a spectacular view of the city, while the apartment is simply grandiose. A splendor.

Food mediocre
Touche l'perfection.
Bathrooms have separate small rooms for shower and WC - a definite plus - and although there is the ubiquitous window between the bathroom area and the main space there is an actual blind that can be closed.
A little downside is the location. It's up the large hill with the cathedral and the tip-of-the-Eiffel tower, which means that to get into the main part of the city you either hike down (or God forbid up) a long and very steep hill, or get used to taking the funicular. It's fine, and there is a nice view over the city at night, but it's not a heart-of-the-city leave the hotel and walkabout kind of place if that's what you're looking for.
Le Spa, malheureusement, ne répondait pas aux attentes que j’ai pour un hôtel de cette catégorie. Les installations semblaient vieillissantes le jacuzzi sans laisser sans carrelage et le service n’était pas à la hauteur de l’excellence que j’espérais.
Le petit-déjeuner, bien que varié, ne m’a pas vraiment impressionné en termes de qualité. Je m’attendais à des mets plus raffinés pour un hôtel 5 étoiles.
En ce qui concerne la décoration, je pensais que l’hôtel pourrait offrir une ambiance plus luxueuse et contemporaine. La déco ne semblait pas être à la hauteur du standard d’un établissement de cette classe.
De plus, les prix exorbitants pratiqués pour ces services sont difficilement justifiables 900 euro pour une nuitée avec 2 petites dej et parking avec 2 maillot de bain acheter sur place Je m’attendais à un rapport qualité-prix plus équilibré, et j’ai été surpris par le coût élevé de chaque prestation.
Cependant, il est important de noter que le service client était exceptionnel, et le personnel était toujours prêt à répondre à nos besoins. J’espère que ces commentaires constructifs aideront l’hôtel à reconsidérer ses tarifs et à améliorer ses installations pour offrir une expérience plus en adéquation avec les attentes d’un hôtel 5 étoiles.
