One of the reference addresses of the city, not only in the "brasserie" category but also simply restaurant, since Silk is much more than a brewery in our opinion. Built in the luxurious Sofitel hotel, Silk benefits from the tranquillity of the places, yet only steps from Place Bellecour and the hyper-centre of the peninsula. A both classic and completely atypical place with its decor that immerses us in the universe "vintage" of the 70s to the brilliant colours on a neutral background and in the universe of silk (which gives the name to the establishment). Between chic bistro, elegant brasserie and elegant restaurant, Silk is for everyone and not only the 5-star hotel high profile clientele. Best-in-class, refined and convivial service, beautiful home which is really hospitable, and a high quality cuisine which also fluctuates between the brasserie tradition with oysters, a Lyon salad, a famous 100% beef tartare, homemade burgers, one of which is truffle or a fresh salmon tartar, and the nice food service with roasted cod fillet, delicious roasted scallops or a rack of lamb and its pan-fried seasonal vegetables. Mother Richard cheese and a vanilla brioche with speculoos ice-cream. Other must-eat of the house: the omelet as you want it and the terrible chicken Sandwich Club. Beautiful wine list, grand crus, for a harmonious wine and meal pairing.

Anyhow I used to stay in sofitel worldwide, this could be the worst sofitel I have been tried (lyon city)
Avec un tarif aussi élevé, il est important que les chambres (lieu le plus important de la réservation) soient à la hauteur du hall d’entrée ou de la salle de restaurant. Style de chambre et salle de bain très vieillissant, pas de robinet thermostatique dans la baignoire donc de gros changement de température (comme pour une nuit dans un ibis à 72€ mais là à 180€). Une télé qui ne fonctionne pas ! Heureusement que la découverte de la salle du petit déjeuner au 8eme étage le lendemain a été la seule belle découverte de ce court moment.
Un emplacement superbe et proche de tout…
1) 1 paquet de mouchoirs près du lit serait bien
2) una machine a café (self) . Au petit-déjeuner pour des moments d'affluence pour éviter de voir les serveurs sous pression en train de courir comme des fous .je detache dan cette parenthèse ( l'utra efficacité et amabilité de Maude , qui a enchanté mes petit-déjeuner).
3) organiser mieux les sortis du parking , pour éviter au client de faire la queue a la réception pour mandier une carte de sortie .
Sinon top hotel et je reviendrai .
