By taking on board what the French consumer expects from the decor of an Asian brand, Meiji Era comes first to us. In the very central Thomassin street, this Japanese restaurant offers the kitchen in a decor that could be that of a chic European brewery with this presence underlined of the black, these chesterfield benches, all without a special sign related to Asia. In short, it is apparently very marketé to give a modern picture of Japan. More traditional, Japanese cuisine offers us its essential sushi, which is pretty successful for our taste, rolls or tatakis. Des menus, already seen, to the Chirashi menus, less seen, Japan does not offer here its best culinary face and, past the course of discovery and decorative suprise, not sure that Meiji Era will seduce us. When Japan falls through a "conceptual" restoration, as often happens in Lyon, the result is not really Smart.

Un de mes restaurants japonais favori à Lyon.
C'est frais, c'est bien fait, c'est authentique. On sent que les produits sont de qualité. Essayez les brochettes, elles sont excellentes.
