Whether you know the steps of Brazilian samba or not, all you have to do is move towards Perrache to walk through the door of Sampa, São Paulo's pet name. Rough stone, furniture that could have been second-hand, vinyl floors in black and white mosaic: it's not in the decor that Sampa has invested, but it's clever. The warm, human atmosphere is matched by chef Fernanda Ribeiro's shared cuisine, with its totally exotic flavours. Everything is homemade with passion, using fresh local produce sourced directly from the Amazon. Generous feijoada at lunchtime for cheap travel and brunch at weekends. A true cultural and gourmet encounter.

C'était pendant la canicule, et malheureusement, il n'y avait pas la clim. On a eu très chaud.

L'accueil et le service sont au top, toujours avec le sourire. Les plats, variés et préparés minute, sont une explosion de saveurs. On s'y sent bien, le cadre est cosy et agréable. Mention spéciale pour le large choix de plats végétariens, un vrai plus !
