At the pass of the same name, at an altitude of 671 m, the isolated village of Nonières is at a crossroads. Its church is dedicated to Santiago the Minor. A wooden sculpture representing him is inside on which it is possible to observe the attributes of the Jacquet (name given to the pilgrims), including the shell and the bumblebee. A variant of the camino leading to Le Puy passes through the village centre. We meet him following the little blue shell. The village also sees the cycle race of the Ardèche pass through. Since 1 January 2019, the commune of Nonières has merged with Saint-Julien-Labrousse to form the commune of Belsentes. The Dolce Via, the green lane of the old railway line - and its rosalies - passes through Les Nonières. A very green stopover, but also a blue one to house the Eyrium watersports centre, ideal for a refreshing stopover during a summer hike. In the centre of the village there is a multi-service hostel with 4 guest rooms and a 20-bed gîte (L'art des chemins).
