It is necessary to go back to the 12th century to appreciate in the registers what Saint-Julien-Labrousse was. This isolated village of 300 inhabitants overlooks the valley of the Eyrieux. It is a former dependency of the barony of Chalencon, which was attached to the kingdom of France in 1271. Don't miss the church rebuilt in the 17th century, which gave a new lease of life to the Catholic Church in the region by dedicating the bell to Saint Regis. Then go back up to the village square where the communal washhouse is still operational. The interpretation trail "Un Pays et ses arbres" (A Country and its Trees) allows the discovery of 14 forest species and three types of landscapes.
