At the foot of the Serre-Ponçon dam and on the road from Sisteron to Barcelonette, Espinasses is a village set against the slopes of Mont Colombis, which has retained its rural picturesqueness with old, low houses on the hillside. However, it's home to the main shops and services, as well as the famous Muséoscope du Lac just a few kilometers away. You can also visit the magnificent 13th-century Gothic church of Sainte Brigitte. This charming village, at the crossroads of the Durance, Ubaye and Blanche valleys, is centrally located, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the region.
