Travel Guide Thorame-High

This small mountain village of 200 inhabitants is located at the foot of the Chamatte massif, in the Haut Verdon valley, at an altitude of 1,150 m. It is true that the village was very much affected by the wars of religion. But, while strolling through its streets, you will come across a Gothic and Romanesque style church at the end of the 16th century, houses with tiled roofs and wooden balconies, old sundials. Several shops, hotels and restaurants in the village and the surrounding area make it a good starting point, or arrival point, for a long and beautiful walk in the region. And the village is only a few kilometers from the ski resorts of Val d'Allos
