A village that deserves a detour, built on marshes between two tributaries of the Charente. The church is classified in the historic monuments and its great richness lies in the murals, fruit of the chance and friendship that gave Louis Mazetier, a verrier verrier in the first half of the twentieth century and Ferdinand Couffignal, who was the priest of Saint-Fraigne from 1910 to 1972. The artist represented demons with faces of villagers, members of his family can be recognized, the Bishop of Poitiers lends his traits to Pontius Pilate; the inhabitants of Saint-Fraigne also said with irony that the eggs of their hens were on the walls of the church because Mazetier used it to bind its pigments.
