Small tourist town, at the confluence of the rivers La Poix and Les Evoissons, Poix-de-Picardie is a charming city, classified as a "Station Verte de Vacances". Southwest of Amiens, peaceful and nestled in the heart of the countryside, it is known for its natural setting and its many picturesque activities. To the north of the city, where the Evoissons flow, walks and hikes criss-cross the area, to be done on foot, mountain bike or horseback. Massively destroyed by the bombings, the city will know approximately the same disaster in 1940. Note the pleasant flower and vegetable market every Sunday morning. A pleasant stopover in the Somme!
