This convent, a jewel in the crown of local agriculture, is a healthy island of greenery in a residential ocean. In the heart of the Chiberta pines, 15 minutes from Biarritz, it offers a wide range of farm produce. Les Bernardines make a living from these sales. You can fill your basket with vegetables from the garden or even flowers. Les Jardins du Refuge covers 25 hectares, 9 of which are devoted to market gardening and 16 to cereal growing. Jams, cookies, chickens and eggs perpetuate tradition and traceability. Gardening workshops and organized tours are available.
