During the Hundred Years' War, this village was used as a backdrop for the Black Prince's cavalcades. Property of the Counts of Thézan, it was invested by the Protestant troops of the Duke of Montgomery in 1586. During these events, the church of Saint-Martin was destroyed and that of Saint-Victor was enlarged. Despite the Revolution, the Count of Thézan was able to keep his estate and property and pass them on to his daughter, the Princess of Merode, upon his death. This heritage was preserved until the castle was sold after the First World War. As for activities, in Nages you can visit the Museum of Peasant Life and dive into the lake of Laouzas.
