This tiny village would have been built around the th century around the castle still standing. The castle of Batz belonged to large families such as the Pardaillahn, the Mirabeau and the Batz who are only the family of the famous Artagnan. The village, surrounded by ramparts, has lost most of its medieval fortifications outside the castle. Even though it is now private, we can admire the beautiful building and its numerous towers and turrets that make it all its charm!
