Perched on the valleys of the Adour and attached to the district of Mirande, Lelin-Lapujolle is a small commune in the Gers which has grouped together the villages of Lelin and Lapujolle since the 19th century. Its environment offering a generous nature on the way to Compostela is an ideal place to contemplate the Pyrenees... While Lelin comes from the name of the plants which were formerly cultivated there to produce the famous textile, Lapujolle derives from pujo: "height". If the village is home to a 12th century chapel and its acacia wood altarpiece, its past goes back to prehistoric times with the discovery of lithic materials dating from the Upper Palaeolithic.
