In south-western Lot-et-Garonne, on the border with the Landes and Gironde departments, the small rural commune of Allons was once a hunting ground for King Henri IV. In this mountainous valley, in the middle of which flows the Ivory River, the landscape of pine forests stretches as far as the eye can see, offering numerous opportunities for hiking. In the heart of this green setting, at the very eastern end of the Landes de Gascogne, savor the region's gastronomy by meeting local producers, who offer asparagus, smoked trout and salmon, duck foie gras and game preserves from the immense neighboring forest.
