The town is built on a rocky promontory, and some houses, still visible today, have been enlarged by new rooms carved out of the rock. The town also boasts a number of typical bridges: Pont du Faubourg, Pont Colas and Pont des Prussiens. The 12th-century church of Saint-Michel conceals a little gem: Christ and those who mourn him (a life-size tomb setting). Gallo-Roman stelae found at La Mause and Le Maublot are on display in the town hall. A town marked by history, also home to the Tiercelins convent. Remains of the 9th-century castle also remain.
