Miraculously spared by the war, Rarécourt offers a landscape unchanged for 100 years. This charming village, which used to have a status equivalent to a "small independent republic", surprises by the singularity of its heritage: its earthenware museum, housed in a 17th century fortified house, its washhouses, its fountains and its bell tower, not forgetting the last remaining windmill in the region. Rarécourt invites visitors to the start of many hiking trails: a gateway to the Argonne forest and the beautiful valley of the Aire. The site is also a privileged access to the village of Beaulieu by soft mobility.
