The village of Lucey takes its name from the Latin luciacus or lucius vicus meaning "village of light". Since Antiquity, the village was known for its privileged exposure to the sun, a considerable asset for the vine! Acquired in 603 by the bishop of Toul, Lucey was part of the Jansenist island of the northern Toulois. Lucey had to send all its grapes directly to the bishopric of Toul, which is why the village has no vaulted cellar! Today, the excellent quality of Lucey's wines contributes to its reputation and the village is an essential stop on the wine route. Meet passionate winegrowers and discover their productions.
