A horse between the Bassée and the Montois, the municipality of Vimpelles is a small village crossed by the Auxence which, when arriving to the village takes the name "Old Seine". After a high degree of depopulation after the Second World War, he had to wait 60 years to return to his population of 460. His church, listed in the historic monuments, with its bold and slender arrow, dominates the village and tells the surrounding area. It houses the largest bell bell in the canton of Donnemarie-Dontilly (1,5 ton).
