The oenophile entering the cellars of Millésima is seized by a sort of aesthetic and astronomical vertigo in front of the grandeur of the place. Here, nearly three million bottles are stored, heaps of wooden cases containing all the greatest vintages of the Bordeaux and French vineyards. The stamps on the cases announce beverages more sublime than the others. After a genuflection in front of so much beauty and promises of flavours, one thinks the visit is over. But it is not! The Imperial Library offers a unique collection of large formats: double magnum, jeroboam, imperial and nabuchodonosor! 10,000 oversized bottles! This amount is due to Patrick Bernard, CEO of Millésima and a well-known wine merchant in Bordeaux. He has managed to make his company the holder of the first catalogue of the 100 greatest classified growths of Bordeaux. The 200 year old cellars have been refurbished to host tailor-made visits and tastings, and receptions, including the famous "Master Class", these evenings hosted by the owners, with a specific tasting (vertical, horizontal of a château, an appellation, etc.). The temptation is then legitimate to choose one or two bottles from the very nice boutique cellar (prices ranging from about 10 euros to more than 800 euros). As you can see, Millésima is an exceptional site, to be discovered without delay. The Best Of Wine Tourism competition awarded a Best Of in the "Organisation of Events" category.
