This village of 350 inhabitants, set in a lush green valley, is renowned for its working horse studs. The latter are housed in the former outbuildings of the Château Augeard, which disappeared in the 19th century and of which the bouverie and stable buildings, in the shape of two horseshoes, remain, along with a superb 700-meter-long lake (open free of charge for bathing). It's a lovely place to stroll, especially in fine weather. Buzancy is home to a German cemetery from the Great War, on the south-eastern outskirts of the town towards Bayonville (D12). Of the 5,923 soldiers buried here, 3,106 lie in individual graves.
