This village was affected by the Vendée wars during the Revolution. On August 22, 1793, the town was severely attacked by General Kléber who set up his headquarters there. It is a place that has experienced many conflicts, but despite this, the small village has kept all its charm. It is surrounded by agricultural fields and greenery (Boussay Park), forests and woods (Bois de Vaux). Many small hamlets are scattered all around. The municipality of Boussay has an area of 27 km². This pretty village has its own private castle, a superb jewel. The visit of the exteriors is free. Nice walks guaranteed along the Claise river, which crosses Boussay. Many hiking trails await you, such as the one in Touraine du Sud.
