The completely bucolic and charming village of Palluau-sur-Indre lies in the natural region of Boischaut Nord, on the cliffs of the Indre valley.The 462 Grand Hiking Trail and the Country's «Pays de Valençay» country Hike trail. Its charm is not the only attraction of Palluau-sur-Indre. The frescoes that can be admired in the St. Lawrence church are another. The building was raised between the th and th centuries. It has been classified as a historic monument since 1945 for the parts of the church corresponding to the choir, the apse and the crypt. The rest of the church followed in 2013.The parish was originally located in Onzay, until the construction of Palluau Castle. The castle created a magnet, and the village was almost entirely moved around the building.The municipality is located in the geographical area and in the milk production area, the manufacture and refining of Valençay cheese.
