We enjoy the freshness of the food of this small trattoria located in the heart of the covered market of Sant'Ambrogio, in the Santa Croce district. On the menu, first courses (pasta, risotto, lasagna, ravioli...), vegetables and meat (beef stew,chicken, Florentine tripe, prosciutto...). Fast service, ideal if you want an express lunch before a visit, and very popular atmosphere, sometimes even noisy, especially during the lunch period.

One of our favorites in Lucca. First of all, because its staff is extremely charming. Then for its atmosphere. This osteria mixes tourists with locals. When it comes to serving yourself as an appetizer, under suspended sausages, it is very difficult to say who is local or not. Accompanied by a good glass of wine, it becomes easy to immerse yourself in the constantly changing menu of dishes. An address to remember also at the time of the aperitivo.

This authentic and timeless osteria, with its woodwork, vaults and black and white photos, promotes the traditional regional flavours that you can enjoy. Especially since the welcome and service are in the image of the Italian cheerfulness. In addition to tagliata (which means "slice" in Italian; a variant of the famous Florentine rib of beef), antipasti, lasagna and desserts that sound right, the sliced veal, full of flavour, caught our attention. A nice discovery!

Located in the heart of Barga, this restaurant with terrace invites you to savor the flavors of happy Tuscany. For over 25 years, the welcoming Riccardo Negri has been serving traditional local cuisine (antipasti, pasta, cheese and charcuterie platters with local honey, soups, tagliata...), and a fine house red wine, all at fair prices. As his wife is a singer, concerts are sometimes organized in the summer in the square in front of the restaurant, so you can enjoy the show while feasting your taste buds and ears!

In Castiglioncello, the Gargotta de Federico was unanimously approved. The entries are almost sufficient to support this idea. A friendly and smiling welcome, the team is involved. To be mentioned, some fish dishes à la carte as well as pizzas cooked in the wood oven, and a special attention to vegetarians.

Located in the ancient village of Varlungo, just five minutes from the historic center, il Vecchio Cigno is a great opportunity to get off the beaten track and enjoy authentic, affordable cuisine in a Florentine atmosphere. Situated on the banks of the Arno, it's an old Tuscan house that has retained its rustic style. Natural cuisine based on fresh produce for typically Florentine dishes: fresh pasta, meat cooked over the coals in front of the customers and, to finish, homemade cakes. A must for gourmets!

In the 1970s, it was "the place to be" in Livorno! Marcello Mastroianni and Alberto Sordi, who came to Castiglioncello on holiday, were among the prestigious regulars. Antico Moro remains a cult place, even if the price-quality ratio is not the best, even if its location in a small alley is not glamorous, and even if the kitsch decoration will not please everyone. But the hearty and ultra fresh cacciucco, the typical Livorno dish, is worth a visit. It is therefore better to book in advance.

With seating for up to 100 guests, this large trattoria occupies the barn of a charming residence, formerly owned by the Duke of Tuscany, in the heart of a vast 500-hectare vineyard. The wine list, created by sommelier Gérard Margeon, is equally sensational.

Here's a wine shop that doesn't neglect its cuisine in favor of its wines! Prices may seem a little high, but the quality is top-notch, and there's no cover charge (a rarity in the area!). The restaurant also boasts a terrace.
